Description: 120 acres +/- of land for sale in the Talladega National Forest in Perry County, AL. This property is a good recreational and hunting tract in the middle of the National Forest. The property is bounded on all sides by the Talladega National Forest, giving you the opportunity to hunt significantly more acreage that adjoins you. Much of the property boundary is painted by the in red by the Forest Service. There is power and a well on the property, and there is an old homeplace that has previously been used for a deer camp. A good internal road system runs through the property, taking you to the 5 or 6 food plots that are located throughout. The property has dirt road frontage on Poplar Grove Church Road. The timber on the property is a mixture of larger trees on the hillsides and in the SMZs, and about 75 acres of pines that the owner believes were planted in 2005 or 2006. This is a good hunting area, but the best thing about this area is the privacy. This area is pretty isolated, and you will mostly hear just the sounds of nature out here. There are a couple of springs and small streams on the property. The terrain goes from gentle to hilly. I had reception with Verizon cell service when I was on the property.
